PARENTS & FRIENDS ASSOCIATION (P & FA)
The P & FA is an essential and active member of the Georgiana Molloy Anglican School community. Parental assistance across a wide range of activities is essential to the proper functioning of Georgiana Molloy Anglican School.
The P & FA comprises of a Management Committee (elected at the Annual General Meeting) through which a variety of Sub Committees are formed.The two aims of the P & FA are FRIENDRAISING and FUNDRAISING.
The P & FA is not a group that discusses / focuses upon operational issues that could be resolved through discussions with teachers or senior staff. Its' only focus is FRIENDRAISING and FUNDRAISING.The P & FA meets at school between 7:30pm and 9pm on the last Monday evening during term time of each month.
All parents are welcome and are encouraged to attend all P & FA meetings.The P & FA provides assistance in such areas as co-curricular activities, working bees, outdoor education, the Resource Centre and with significant fundraising, friend-raising, and social activities. Such work helps provide additional facilities and resources for children at the school which otherwise may not be possible.We acknowledge respectfully that many parents have heavy time and work constraints that will limit their availability for involvement in the many and varied activities of the P & FA. It is expected however (and is a condition of accepting a place at the school) that all parents will be able to commit to some P & FA activities as a show of support for the school and of support for their children's holistic education.
