We are seeking an organised, professional, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant – Human Resources to join our Administration team. Reporting directly to the Manager – Human Resources, this position plays a vital role in supporting the School's HR and payroll functions, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of employee administration services.
About the Role
This is a diverse and rewarding position that combines payroll administration, recruitment support, onboarding coordination, compliance monitoring, and general HR administration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and processing payroll data for Central Payroll.
- Responding to payroll enquiries and maintaining payroll records.
- Supporting recruitment activities, including advertising, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
- Coordinating onboarding processes and employment documentation.
- Maintaining employee records and compliance documentation.
- Monitoring Working with Children Checks, TRBWA registrations, and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Checks.
- Assisting with performance review, probation review, and staff survey administration.
- Providing administrative support for Human Resources projects and initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in Human Resources administration, payroll support, recruitment, or a similar administrative role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Experience maintaining confidential records and handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- A collaborative approach, combined with the ability to work independently and show initiative.
- A commitment to excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
